SERVICE POLICY

• What is a service warranty?
❖ A service warranty is afforded to customers on all our products. A service warranty for an appliance
    is a promise to fix or replace it within a specified time if it fails due to defects or issues in materials
   or workmanship. Reliable Appliance And Parts Ltd offers a service warranty, ensuring that any
   product issues within a specified warranty period will be addressed by their trained technicians. The
  warranty is effective from the date of purchase from all customers. For warranty claim purposes,
  the manufacturer only recognizes the information provided on the original customer invoice.
• All issues are to be reported by sending formal service complaints through the avenues provided below.

• Please also include any pictures/videos as necessary.
• The lack of this information will result in the extension of the time taken for the complaint to be processed.
❖ NB. A complaint will be deemed incomplete and will not be processed if MODEL # is missing
    from the initial report.
• When all the necessary information is received, the customer will be contacted within 24-hours. Processing
   will commence after the initial contact. Once the complaint is processed one of our technicians will be
   dispatched.
• Please allow a timeframe between one – three (1-3) working days for customers to be visited. We
   understand the needs of our customers and will always do our best to assist them as soon as possible.
   NB. When a customer misses their appointment, the job will be rescheduled for the next available date,
  which suits ALL parties.
• WARRANTIES COMMENCE FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. Not date of delivery.
• Where a repair is authorised to be done on the unit, if spare parts are not in stock, they will be shipped to
   Trinidad and Tobago directly from the manufacturer. In this event, there will be a delay in repair time. Upon
   receipt of the spare parts, arrangements will be made with the customer to complete repairs on their unit.
❖ Part numbers may also be made available to customers to source their parts to further facilitate
    their repairs.

• As it pertains to exchanges, NO customer(s’) unit will be exchanged unless authorised by Reliable
  Appliance Parts Ltd’s Service Department.
❖ If an exchange is to be authorised, this can only be done AFTER our technician has visited and
   assessed the unit. Where our technician deems that the unit cannot be repaired, our department will
   inform you accordingly.
  NB. Any unit delivered to Reliable Appliance And Parts Ltd’s Showroom/Warehouse in a bid facilitate and
   unauthorized exchange, will STILL be subject to or repair policy. Upon which the customer will be
   notified as to the completion of the repair.
• As it pertains to damaged units, seven (7) days are afforded to you from the date of purchase, within
  which we must be notified of any damages. This is to be done via the means expressed earlier. Upon
  expiration of this timeframe, we will NO LONGER BE LIABLE FOR THE DAMAGES, and will not
  accept these items back into our warehouse.
  NB. Our representatives WILL NOT pick up any damaged items without authorisation from our Head
  Office.
• Appliances that are scheduled to be serviced at our office, are to be properly CLEANED and free from ANY
  AND ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS before transportation to our warehouse.
  NB. The process of collection, repair and return can take up to two (2) working weeks. Kindly bear with us
  as we seek to have customer units serviced and returned in as timely a manner as possible.

WARRANTY POLICY

• Warranties are only valid when an issue occurs that is directly related to a manufacturing defect.
   Issues caused by customer misuse or otherwise are NOT covered under the warranty.
   NB. The warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original customer.
• Warranty DOES NOT mean an exchange of a product for another one.
• Products are covered under warranty, as long as they are used for DOMESTIC purposes only, unless the
   product is labeled for other use.
• Warranty applies to products delivered to Reliable Appliance Parts Ltd with ALL necessary documents.
• Warranty does NOT apply without a customer’s proof of purchase.
• Warranty does NOT apply to rust on the interior & exterior of an appliance. See Void conditions for further
   information.
• Warranty will NOT apply to any product that shows signs of tampering.
• Serialised products which do not bear their original serial number sticker, or possess a damaged serial
   number sticker, will not be considered for warranty.
• Products not installed in line with instructions given in the user manual are not covered under warranty. In
   the event that a customer receives a product without a user manual, they are responsible for requesting one.
• Only SELECT accessory parts included with or attached to the product are covered under warranty. These
   accessory parts include (but are not limited to): product legs / stands, power cords and general cables.
• Warranty DOES NOT cover replacement parts or labour if the appliance is being used in a manner that is
   not consistent with the operation / installation instructions.
• Light bulbs, air or water filters and other consumable parts; such as microwave plates and spindles, handles,
   knobs / buttons, paint, body / frame, plastic / glass parts, filters, washing machine hoses and covers, stove
   burners and caps, stovetop and oven racks, refrigeration unit shelves etc. are not covered under warranty.
• Any food or medicine lost due to refrigerator or freezer product failures is not covered under
   warranty.
• The removal and reinstallation of the appliance if it is installed in an inaccessible location, or is not installed
   in accordance with the manufacturer’s published instructions, is not covered under warranty.
• Installation and maintenance are not covered under warranty, unless otherwise stated.
• The body of appliances is not covered under warranty once the unit is located in an area susceptible to sea
   blast and / or exposed to the elements, excess humidity and high temperatures.
• Water inlet valves are not covered under warranty, if found to be damaged due to high or low water
   pressure, incorrect or missing water supply installations, as well as an unclean water supply.
• Electrical issue related problems are not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
• Issues due to incorrect removal of shipping packaging, bolts and other apparatus are not covered under
  warranty.
• Kindly note all repairs are to be completed in a safe and clean environment. Customers are responsible for
  providing such an environment for the technician to operate. Reliable Appliance Parts Ltd Technicians
  reserve the right to refuse to repair units, once customers are deemed to have breached this clause.
• The warranty provided on appliances approved for exchange by Reliable Appliance Parts Ltd continues on
  from the original date of purchase.
• Due to geographical location constraints, and increased criminal activity across the country, Reliable
  Appliance Parts Ltd is prevented from offering home service to all of our customers.
❖ For customers who may reside in areas deemed unsafe, we advise that customers deliver the
  appliances to your location, or ours, for assessments and repairs to be conducted. Please be advised
  that this is also applicable for appliances located offshore on sea vessels, perilous hill tops etc. All
  transportation arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the customer.
• Please note in ALL instances where Reliable Appliance Parts Ltd technicians find that the issue
  reported is not a warranty issue, the customer is liable to pay the service charge of $300.00 VAT
  INCLUSIVE.
• UNITS PURCHASED “AS-IS” OR REFURBISHED ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY.

CONDITIONS THAT VOID THE WARRANTY

• If the product is serviced by ANY technician other than those of Reliable Appliance Parts Ltd
• If the product is connected to a faulty power supply, high or low voltage. If our technician finds any
  evidence of incorrect wiring, voltage issues, overloading of outlets, use of extension cords or generators etc.,
  the warranty is voided.
• If the product is installed incorrectly, including, but not limited to, being left incorrectly in packaging or
  with shipping bolts/apparatus attached, shows signs of tampering or interference with the unit and / or
  physical damage.
• If the product is being used for purposes other than those for which it was specifically designed
• If abrasive cleaners are being used to clean the product
• If the product is stored in a location that exposes the product to the elements
• If the product is showing signs or traces of pest infestation such as rodents, ants, cockroaches, termites etc.
• Any other applicable case, not resulting from the product’s design, as deemed fit and fair by the
  manufacturer.
• Any damages caused by customer misuse, poor installation, incorrect voltage, animals, mold, dust, rusting,
  corrosion, oxidation, natural occurrences etc. are not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
❖ However, if there is evidence of rust within one (1) month of purchase, the evidence will be
  submitted to the manufacturer for special consideration. The manufacturer will then determine
  whether the rust is factory related, due to the customer’s environment, or as a result of improper
  cleaning practices.
❖ The evidence submitted must be in the form of pictures and videos. Do note that these claims are
  solely dependent on the manufacturer’s discretion, and does not fall within the scope of
  responsibility of Reliable Appliance Parts Ltd.
❖ Customers are also advised to read their manuals carefully for instructions on how to USE &
   MAINTAIN their appliances.
• Any Product that has been transferred from its original owner to another party or removed outside the
   mainland of Trinidad.
❖ Tobago (With special conditions. Consult with Head office @ 675-0069).
• Products with original serial numbers that have been removed, altered, or cannot be readily determined.
• Products used in a commercial setting.
